Not that it should surprise anyone, but this claim that Kerry would raise gas taxes 50 cents is utterly misleading. It is apparently based completely on a statement made 10 years ago in 1994 in response to ideas for cutting the deficit. It was never even in an actual bill or vote, just an idea.

And yet 10 years later Bush would have us believe that if JohnKerry is President he will raise gas taxes 50 cents.

It's so stupid it's hard to even be believed.

If John Kerry wants to raise gas taxes then George W. Bush is a habitual drunk and drug user. That only goes a few more years back.

Why can't Bush campaign about the issues and ideas at hand rather than some random idea from 10 years ago that has no apparent connection to current proposals or policies.

This points out what everyone already knew, there is not 1 issue that Kerry will stand on one side of. He plays both sides on everything. If he wanted to raise the gas tax once, what makes you think he won't vote to raise it again?

I agree with Kman in that Kerry has made a career out of flip floping.

People opposed to Bush's militerism claim that Kerry is the guy, yet Kerry has been in favor on many unjust foreign attacks.

Of course the republicans call him weak on defense....but the republicans are insane when it comes to pentagon budget. It is incredibly inflated.

Bush on the other hand is of , at best, questionable intellect. He was also caught starting a war using either lies, or a display of his gross ignorance.

Bish is arguably the worst, most inhumane president the US has ever known.

Kerry is one of the slimiest, least direct, and flawed challengers a race has ever known.

I would still say Kerry is the lesser of two evils, as he is opposed to the patriot act (the most dangerous and unamerican piece of legislation around. Granted he was for it. I would still prefer someone who was for it, and is now against it, then to Bush who wants to infringe on our liberties.

Needless to say, I will be voting for a third party canidate.

Bush is terrible, but a new president ewont fix this country. We need a political revolution, not a new president.

Bi-partisan politics, huge government and animperialistic foreign policy that borders on terrorism is killing democracy.

haha...I wish I wasnt so cynical, but I call a spade(s) a spade.

America is headed in the wrong direction. Vote liberterian.
